:: My name is Ryan K. Self. I am the technology teacher, electives team leader, and website developer at Wheat Ridge Middle School in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. My professional interests include teaching technology skills and organizing digital and print resources for students and staff. I enjoy working with my fellow teachers on integrating technology and using different forms of media to increase both student engagement and teacher efficiency.

:: I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Western Washington University in East Asian Studies in 1999 with a minor in Chinese (Mandarin). From 1999 to 2001, I taught Business English in China at the Sydney Institute of Language and Commerce, University of Shanghai. In 2003, I moved back to the states and completed the Initial Professional Teacher Education program at the University of Colorado at Denver with an endorsement in elementary education. I graduated with my Master's Degree from the Information and Learning Technologies program at the University of Colorado at Denver in 2005 and am currently finishing my school librarian endorsement.
